Did you know...

The NJMT,Inc narrow gauge (3' gauge) operating steam preservation railroad is second after Edaville in Massachusetts (est. 1948), and the first such railroad to utilize volunteers to run every aspect of the operation. When Edaville closed in 1991, the Pine Creek Railroad "inherited" the title of the oldest all volunteer continuously operating steam preservation railroad exhibits in the United States. Edaville reopened for operation in 1999. Many tourist lines and museum railroads of today owe their very existence to experience that volunteers gained working on the Pine Creek in the early days. Many founders of these lines either worked at or witnessed the early days of Pine Creek Railroad.
