Founded in 1952, New Jersey Museum of Transportation's Pine Creek Railroad is one of the oldest operating narrow gauge railway exhibits in the country.

Thanks for a great Halloween season! Please join us for our annual Christmas Express with Santa Claus, and buy your tickets in person at the ticket booth soon—they will sell out quickly! Also note that we do not offer Birthday Party specials during the Christmas Special season.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the trains run? Every weekend from noon to 4:30 (4:00 in November and December), weather permitting, from Easter until Christmas. Different times apply for Special Events.

How long is the ride? About 15 minutes.

How much are tickets? $4.00 per person, 3 years and older. Different rates apply for Special Events.

Where do we purchase tickets? At the Ticket Office, which is located at the far corner of the parking lot; look for the building with the Tickets sign on the roof.

Do you accept charge cards? Yes, we do! Visa and MasterCard only; sorry, no Discover or American Express.

Can we purchase tickets online? Not at this time.

Where is the museum? You're standing in it! NJMT is a "working museum": the train and all of the buildings on the public area are historical. There's no large building full of artifacts; ride the train and walk around the public area to enjoy our museum.
