Founded in 1952, New Jersey Museum of Transportation's Pine Creek Railroad is one of the oldest operating narrow gauge railway exhibits in the country.


Don't miss out on your chance for a good Halloween scare! The Haunted Express starts Friday, October 9 at 7:30 PM. For more details, see the Special Events.

IMPORTANT: The Haunted Express event is held weather permitting. If there is any chance of rain, the event will be cancelled. PLEASE call ahead (732-938-5524) to be sure the event is taking place to avoid disappointment!

NOTE: Tickets for the annual Christmas Express with Santa go on sale Friday, October 9 at 7:00 PM! Be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as you can, because this event sells out every year! Tickets for the Christmas Express will be available for purchase rain or shine. For more details on the Christmas Express, see the Special Events.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the trains run? Every weekend from noon to 4:30 (4:00 in November and December), weather permitting, from Easter until Christmas. Different times apply for Special Events.

How long is the ride? About 15 minutes.

How much are tickets? $4.00 per person, 3 years and older. Different rates apply for Special Events.

Where do we purchase tickets? At the Ticket Office, which is located at the far corner of the parking lot; look for the building with the Tickets sign on the roof.

Do you accept charge cards? Yes, we do! Visa and MasterCard only; sorry, no Discover or American Express.

Can we purchase tickets online? Not at this time.
