Come be a part of history! Volunteer with us...

Our Volunteers play a key role in the organization. Together they donate thousands of hours each year. They represent all different backgrounds and ages. You can be as young as 14 to as old as any kid wants to be.

Each volunteer has the common goal to "Preserve the Past for Future Generations." You can contribute in many ways, as we have many different areas where you can help. No matter which area you choose, you'll receive, among other things, unlimited train rides during our regular operating season just by showing your membership card to the ticket agent.

To join the New Jersey Museum of Transportation, download an application (below). Once you've printed it and filled it out, you can send it to us or, better yet, drop it off at the site, and one of our volunteers will be happy to give you a tour of our facilities and introduce you to our staff.

Membership Levels

• Senior Operating Member (18 years and older): $35 Annual Fee and 75+ Working Hours
• Junior Member (14 -18 years old): $15 Annual Fee and 75+ Working Hours
• Individual Patron (non-working): $15 Annual Fee
• Family Patron (non-working): $35 Annual Fee (5 persons)

We accept donations of any size, and in many forms. Call the office on the weekends to speak with a volunteer. All donations are tax deductible.
